Horizon Science Academy expands to Austintown

This fall, Horizon Science Academy is expanding its footprint in Ohio.

After successfully launching a school in Youngstown in 2010, HSA is introducing a new satellite campus in Austintown for grades K-2. It will open its doors ahead of the 2024-25 academic school year and is ready for enrollment now

Austintown’s mission is to provide a safe and enriching learning environment where the whole student is nurtured and developed. Our teachers and administrators pledge to support the academic and emotional well-being of each and every student. Students will leave our school prepared with skills and knowledge that will give them advantages throughout their future educational and life experiences.

Austintown is operated by Concept Schools, which is a public charter management organization that supports charters. For 25 years, Concept has built a reputation for being the leader of the public charter school movement in the Midwest.

Why choose Austintown?

Like HSA Youngstown, Austintown is a free and non-selective charter public school funded by the state and sponsored by Buckeye Community Hope Foundation. Its early childhood curriculum is aligned with state standards and teachers and staff are state certified.

Like all Concept-managed schools, Austintown provides its students with a high-quality, STEM-focused curriculum that is personalized for the needs of each classroom. We mold our students in and out of the classroom with various extracurricular activities and programs so they can actualize their full potential. Our small class sizes and consistent family engagement help cultivate a strong and welcoming sense of community.
